  • Thought provoking. From the very first devotion, I was pulled into the real world of problems that other women and I face. I mean, not a disorganized spice rack or not enough shoe storage or a nosey Mother in law. There were revelations of a more gritty "turn this to God so I can survive through it" nature. There were questions that hit me where I live and breathe. I'm not alone. I'm sorry other women are struggling, but, what a comfort to know Im not struggling alone! God is able to use their stories as a help to others.

  • This is a pick-me-up devotional I couldn't put down. I found this book to be very easy to digest and even though it a devotional, I couldn't put it down and just keep reading through most of it in one sitting (which is a feat in my household with 3 small children). I really appreciate the different writing styles, personal stories and encouragement that the authors of this book shared. I love the simple, " Purpose, Practice, Prayer, Promise" to tie everything all together.

If you know me at all, you know my best writing time is in the wee hours of the morning. Here's the view from my desk in the early hours. When it's dark and most people are still sleeping. That's when my light (figuratively as well as literally) goes on. Ideas flow for me then. That's when Life seems right with all man and beast. Scripture tells us that God appreciates the dark skies as well.
